2. A lot of the students are involved in gangs. If you walk into a bathroom, or open one of the textbooks, you will see their symbols scribbled everywhere. I knew a kid who was in a gang. One day, he held a knife to my friends throat and stole her phone. He's in jail now I believe. This all happened on an average school day, at Eaton Johnson.
They refuse to discipline any child for anything. For instance when a student decides to start screaming at a teacher calling her a "wretched a** b*tch" for asking her to please stop talking on her cellphone and pay attention to class. The teacher can submit paperwork but the administration won't do anything against your child. Instead they go to the classroom DURING class and lecture the teacher in front of all his/her students about how they need to learn to control their students and at the same time taking away all authority for them to do ANYTHING against them.
So if you really want your kids to go to a clean, safe school, don't send them here. I really hope I can save some students from having to go through what I went through.
Please, whatever you do, do NOT send your kids to this school! I went to this school two years ago, and I am still recovering from the trauma. I wrote a review when I was still going there, it's still here. But this time, I am going to tell you exactly why this school is not a good safe enviroment.
4. FIGHTS. FIGHTS EVERYWHERE. he students will always have fistfights over the stupidest things. Bump them in the hallway? FIGHT. Looked at them wrong? FIGHT. Tripped over their ridiculous sagging pants? FIGHT. You catching my drift here? Even if you just look at one of the reviews under this, the one where the idiot was going "YOU RUN YOUR MOUTH I FIGHT YOU HURRRRRRR" you can tell he or she has gotten into some kind of fight at that school.
1. The teachers just couldn't care less. Not all of them are like this, but the majority of them are. For example, the teacher who taught resource math. He did not follow my IEP, despite having several conferences with my mom. He just told her that he didn't want to. Another teacher was prone to break down and scream at the class about taxes and health care and other unrelated things.
Lee Anna Norwood is a racist and a horrible teacher. In an age when students bullying other students leads to horrible things, this "veteran educator" racially profiled me in front of my entire class after kicking me out for asking about a grade I got. I always felt that she didn't like me based on the way she acted towards me and the bad grades I received in her class (I was making A's and B's in everything else). She make a lot of racial comments about my in front of all of my friends. I was so embarrassed and angry. She ended up getting suspended for a few days. But I had to move out of the class!! And I had to see her almost everyday after that. I had left the whole situation behind me, but just saw a story on CNN about a similar situation that brought back all the memories. I just wish we called the news too so that this horrible person could be removed from the school system.
5. The place is FILTHY. Does anyone here even bother to clean anything? I actually have some videos and photos of this, which I will be posting soon. The food isn't sanitary either. We once found a BUG in my friend's mashed potatoes. (I have pictures of that too.)
Please if you love your children and want them to have a future where they're not still living in your house at the age of 50 thinking you owe them everything in life DO NOT send them to this school.
The school and coaches dont let parents know if theres admission for parents to watch their kids
This school is a joke, and the students certainly treat it like one. Why not when they have zero consequences for getting into fights, cussing out and threatening teachers, and they don't even have to do work anymore at school. Last year the school said for those failing that they had to attend summer school and pass some additional testing or they wouldn't be advanced to the next grade. Well almost none of the kids went and they passed all of them anyway.
My child wasn't learning anything at that school, luckily I got a new job in Greensboro because I wanted to get my child away from the circus. He's doing very well grade-wise and I'm happy to say every time I go to visit for parent teacher conferences I see semi-orderly classrooms and students (I mean they are still teenagers, some is to be expected), their main goal is to teach and care for the students and not encourage such a horrible system of administrators that just pushes everyone through to high school so they can drop out and either be deadbeats, prisoners, or dead.

3. The test scores are really lousy, and I can see why. The teacher's are regularly interupted during class. Even if the teacher is not being interupted, you can bet that the majority of students are not listening. They're either too busy texting or sleeping. As you can tell by the review under this, the student's aren't very inteligent either, they just want to cause trouble.
